Integration of SAFE-TEC Clinical Products into Drummond Scientific Company

Dear Valued Customer,

We are pleased to announce that effective January 1, 2024, Drummond Scientific Distribution Company, LLC, d/b/a SAFE-TEC® Clinical Products (“Safe-Tec”), will be merged with and into its parent company, Drummond Scientific Company (“DSC”). This integration will streamline your ordering process, and following the merger, you will be able to order your Safe-Tec products directly through DSC.

DSC has always been the contract manufacturer of the Safe-Tec products SAFECAP®, SAFEPETTE®, and MICROSAFE®, and has always physically manufactured those products at its facility at 500 Parkway, Broomall, PA 19008, USA. No change to the manufacturing process will occur as a result of this integration.

Further, there will be no changes to any of the Safe-Tec product part numbers that you order from DSC. As of January 1, 2024, all outstanding orders previously placed with Safe-Tec will be fulfilled by DSC.

Any pre-existing and active Quality & Regulatory Agreements will be legally assumed by DSC as a result of the merger. Prior to January 1, 2024, DSC will hold all registrations necessary to sell the above products in the same markets as Safe-Tec.

Effectively January 1, 2024:

  • Purchase orders must be e-mailed to orders@drummondsci.com
  • Payment remittance details and other invoice inquiries must be directed to ar@drummondsci.com
  • Checks, invoices, and other written correspondence must be sent to DSC’s Mailing Address
  • Quality-related product returns or other packages must be sent to DSC’s Physical Address

If necessary, please e-mail any supplier set-up forms to DSC’s Vice President of Quality, Matt Herm, at matth@drummondsci.com to facilitate this transition.

You may also contact DSC’s Director of Operations, Eric Smith, at 610-353-0200 ext. 161 or

erics@drummondsci.com with any additional questions.

Sincerely,

Eric Smith | Director of Operations

The New Nanoject III Is Now Available!

Nanoject II vs. Nanoject III Comparison

Both units utilize the same glass capillaries for pulling micropipettes. Due to the new improved method of securing the micropipette, smaller tips can be pulled and utilized on the Nanoject III. No O-rings to wear out. A micro “chuck” is used, and it simplifies attachment of the micropipette once backfilled with oil. The Nanoject III’s auto HOMING feature will eliminate the need to “rehome the unit as in the Nanoject II. This can reduce, if not totally eliminate, jamming of the plunger. Now available for the Nanoject II is the new Digital Control Box which has all the functionality of the original control box but now features a user friendly, easy to read touchscreen.
